Tummoc was founded in 2016 by Hiranmay Mallick, Monalisha Thakur, and Narayan Mishra. They created Tummoc to address the challenges of urban commuting, particularly the difficulties of finding information and booking public and private transport.  Tummoc is a made-in-India transit tech platform available in 22 Indian cities, helping commuters plan, track, and book public and private transport through a single app. The app offers features like real-time tracking, digital ticketing, and multi-modal journey planning. The startup also offers end-to-end transit solutions, including white-label applications, ITMS, AFCS, GTFS real-time feeds, and contactless payment infrastructure for public and private transport agencies.

Tummoc, which claims to be India's only patented transit-tech startup, has raised an undisclosed amount in funding from Finvolve, a multi-stage VC fund, along with India Accelerator. As part of a pre-Series A funding round, Tummoc has raised $1.6 million so far from Finvolve, IPV, The Chennai Angels and angel investors. The latest investment aims to accelerate the startup's product development and enhance its tech solutions to offer First Mile to Last Mile Mobility Solutions in Mobility, the release notes. Tummoc will deploy the raised capital towards global transit projects and expand its international footprint to ensure strong topline performance for Q3 and Q4. Additionally, the startup will enhance operational efficiency through data-driven deployments in Indian Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities and expand its digital ticketing systems across multiple locations. Hiranmay Mallick, CEO & Co-Founder of Tummoc said, "Mobility should be seamless and sustainable. With the support of IA and Finvolve, we are poised to fast-track our mission of creating a digitized transit ecosystem and make commuting effortless for millions. We look forward to setting new benchmarks in public transport innovation."
