MedVital, a medtech startup working on skin repair and regeneration technologies, has raised Rs 18 crore in a growth funding led by Alkemi Growth Capital, with participation from Dr. Sanjay Arora, Shubhan Ventures, and existing investors. The startup had previously raised a round led by 4point0 Health Ventures and entrepreneur investors. The fresh capital will be used to expand operations, accelerate product development, and build capabilities across devices, biomaterials, and biologics, while also improving supply chain efficiency.

"Skin, the body's largest organ, is increasingly impacted by ageing, diabetes and a growing burden of chronic dermatological conditions, yet access to innovative, evidence-based technologies remain limited. We're building clinical driven technologies spanning biomaterials, device-based systems, biologics across wound care, aesthetics, and chronic dermatology," said Dr. Varun Gupta, Co-Founder of MedVital.

MedVital currently operates through two distinct product portfolios. The first is NoWound, its advanced wound care range, which includes Negative Pressure Wound Therapy and a chitosan-based liquid bandage developed for hospital settings.

Advanced wound care adoption in India is still at a relatively early stage despite the scale of clinical need, and MedVital sees this as a significant growth opportunity. The startup claims to have established clinical traction with adoption across more than 200 corporate and public healthcare institutions.

The second portfolio is Elyara, which the startup has launched in the regenerative medical aesthetics space. Elyara focuses on non-invasive skin and hair restoration, drawing on peptide-led signalling and regenerative pathways.

About MedVital

MedVital has been Founded in 2024 by Tarun Bansal. MedVital operates at the intersection of advanced wound care, regenerative aesthetics, and chronic skin conditions. The startup's premise is that skin and hair conditions, whether related to wounds, ageing, or chronic dermatological issues, are fundamentally linked to gaps in the body's repair and regeneration processes.
