Pratilipi more than doubled its operating revenue in FY26 while keeping losses largely under control, indicating improving monetisation across its regional content ecosystem. The Bengaluru-based company also saw strong user engagement and rising contribution from subscriptions, microtransactions, publishing, and IP-led businesses during the year. According to figures shared by co-founder Ranjeet Pratap Singh, Pratilipi’s operating revenue grew 125% to Rs 186 crore in FY26 from Rs 82.4 crore in FY25. Including other income, the company’s total income stood at Rs 189 crore during the last fiscal year.

Despite continued investments in expansion and monetisation, the company managed to keep its losses largely flat. “Pratilipi is likely to report a net loss of around Rs 45 crore in FY26, compared to Rs 50.41 crore in the previous year," Singh said.

The company has also scaled significantly on the user front. Pratilipi now claims to have 1.8 million daily active users (DAUs) and 3.8 million monthly active users (MAUs). User engagement on the platform also remained strong during the year. According to the company, users spend an average of 68 minutes per day on Pratilipi, while paying subscribers spend nearly 139 minutes daily on the platform.

Pratilipi has also strengthened its monetisation engine over the past year through subscriptions and microtransactions. The company said around 17% of its monthly active users are paying subscribers, with plans priced at nearly Rs 150 per month. Additionally, close to 21% of MAUs make monthly payments on the platform, including through microtransactions. Beyond subscriptions, the company is also generating revenue from publishing and intellectual property monetisation.
